Christopher Nakamura, DDS

Dr. Chris was born and raised in Colorado. He graduated from Pomona High School as valedictorian and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado with honors. He was awarded his D.D.S. degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.

Upon completing dental school, Dr. Chris completed an Advanced Education in Dentistry residency at Kokua Kalihi Valley in Aurora, Colorado. After working with children during his dental career, Dr. Chris realized he wanted to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry. He received his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry from NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Bangor, Maine and Phoenix, Arizona, serving as Chief Resident. Dr. Chris then returned to Hawaii and his extended ohana. For the past several years he has enjoyed serving the island's keiki as a Board Certified pediatric dentist.

“As a pediatric dentist, I’ve had the unique opportunity to interact with a large patient pool of children and teenagers. I have come to realize my passion for working with the pediatric population and that I have the ability to positively interact and relate to younger generations. Having this positive patient connection is important because a patient’s lifelong perception of dental care is often molded by initial childhood visits. I hope that both patients and parents have a positive dental experience and everyone leaves feeling like they are part of our dental family.”
